Dr. Kupcha, originally from the Delaware Valley, began his practice in Wilmington following a commission with the United States Army that took him to Hawaii, South West Asia and Germany. Upon completion of his active duty service in the Army, he served at Fort Belvoir, Virginia as Chief of the Division of Orthopaedics.


Dr. Kupcha is Board Certified in Orthopaedics. He treats general orthopaedic patients daily, but he is fellowship trained and specializes in:

He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where he also participated in college football and baseball. Upon graduating with his medical degree from Georgetown University Medical School, he distinguished himself as being in the top ten percent of medical students in the country as an AOA honor society recipient. Dr. Kupcha completed his orthopaedic residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He also completed his subspecialty training with a Foot/Ankle fellowship in Philadelphia.


Dr. Kupcha is a member of numerous specialty organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society and the Delaware Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons, where he served 2 years as President until March of 2010.
